REPORTS

The report screen is made to be as easy to use as possible.  There are two types of reports, Detail and Summary.  When you select either one, the appropriate reports will display at the report selection portion of the screen.  When you click on a report, the description of what the report is will appear in the box to the right of the report selections.

 

The options are "Write as PDF file" and "Filtering Report".  If the Write as PDF is inactive, then that function is not available for you to use.  If you do not select Filter Report, then the system will ask you to verify that you do not want to filter.  The system will state, that you did not select filter report, is this correct?  If you state NO, then the system will automatically change the setting to Filter Report.  In filtering a report, the system will allow you to choice fields and select whatever criteria that you require. 

 

If you want your report to have a title to it, then you can enter whatever you would like in the Report Title portion of the screen.

 

The Output selection allows you to select how you want the report to run.  The selections are as follows:

 

View/Print - Allows you to view the report and print a single page or the entire report or abort it.

Text - This will allow you to save the report as a text file.

Rich Text Format - This allows you to save the file in an MS Word format

WKS - This allows you to save the file in a spread sheet format

Database - DBF - This allows you to save the file to a database.

HTML - This allows you to save the file to and internet HTML file.

Prompt Me - Will prompt you for any of the above and a few others

 

If you are saving the file to your hard drive or to a disk, then you must have a file name entered as well as a directory selected to where you want the file to go.

Repair File Selection, is for you to select the file you want your repair report based on.  This can be the History, Pre History, Pre Audit, Suspense  or the Rebuttal file.  When you are ready to run the report, press the push button "Run" and the program will validate all your entries and run the report as you have selected.

 

This program will also display Graphs; Bar, Line, Area or Pie.  Each graph is by repair year and month.  When you select a graph, the system will ask you for the year in which you want to display the graph for.

 

Above the “RUN” push button is a check box marked “Display Filter on Report”.  If you filter the report, then your filter or query will be displayed at the bottom of the last page of the report.
